Ironspine is a Finnish independent role-playing game publisher founded in 2006 by Miska Fredman.
Ironspine’s first published RPG was Heimot (Tribes), a science fiction role-playing game. Since then Ironspine has published four other RPGs. You can read more about our current and upcoming releases here.
While Ironspine is officially a private enterprise, most of our publications are done with a varied team of designers, illustrators and editors. Samuli Ahokas has been an essential part of Ironspine’s operations since 2006 and many of our professional illustrators, like Olli Juutilainen, Jari Paananen and Hans Zenjuga, have worked with us on multiple projects.
We have also collaborated with other Finnish roleplaying game publishers and designers. In 2015 we launched an open rules system, Ironcore Engine, under Creative Commons licence, that is being developed together with Jukka Sorsa and Ville Takanen from Myrrysmiehet Oy.
